Return & Refund Policy

Effective date: August 22, 2026

West End Paint & Hardware provides a 15-day return and refund period.

Customers may request a return for any reason, including a change of mind, within 15 calendar days after delivery.

1. Return Period

You must contact us within 15 calendar days after your order is delivered.

You do not need to prove that a product is defective to request a return during this period.

2. Return Requirements

For a return to be processed safely, the product should:

Include all original parts and accessories
Be packaged safely for transportation
Include the order number or proof of purchase
Not have been damaged after delivery
Not have been modified or repaired without authorization

Opening packaging to inspect a product does not automatically make it ineligible for return.

Photographs if the product is damaged, defective, incomplete, or incorrect

Please do not send a return before receiving instructions.

5. Return Shipping Costs

Free Canada Post delivery applies to the original shipment from our store to the customer.

For a return caused by a change of mind, incorrect product selection, or another reason not caused by us, the customer is responsible for return-shipping costs.

If a product arrives damaged, defective, incomplete, or incorrect because of our error, we will cover reasonable return-shipping costs.

We do not charge a restocking fee for eligible returns.

6. Damaged, Defective, or Incorrect Products

Inspect your order promptly after delivery.

Defective
Missing important components
Different from the product ordered

Keep the product, packaging, shipping label, and packing materials. Provide clear photographs showing the issue.

Depending on the circumstances, we may offer replacement parts, replacement, repair, or a refund.

7. Limited Exceptions

For legal, health, and safety reasons, the following products may not qualify for a change-of-mind return unless defective or applicable law requires otherwise:

Gift cards
Custom-mixed paint and specially ordered products
Opened paint, coatings, chemicals, or consumable products
Hazardous materials, fuels, gases, or flammable liquids
Opened hygiene-sensitive products
Products damaged through misuse or improper installation
Products modified or repaired without authorization

Any product-specific exception will be disclosed before purchase.

8. Appliances and Electrical Products

Appliances and electrical products may be returned within the 15-day period.

If a product has been materially used, installed, altered, or damaged after delivery, return options may be limited to remedies for defective products, manufacturer warranty coverage, or rights provided by law.

9. Exchanges

Direct exchanges are not guaranteed. Customers may be asked to return the original product and place a new order.

If an incorrect or defective product was delivered, contact us before placing another order.

10. Refund Processing

After receiving and inspecting the return, we will notify you of the refund status.

Approved refunds will be issued to the original payment method within 10 business days after approval.

Your bank or payment provider may require additional time to post the refund. If more than 15 business days have passed since approval, please contact us.

11. Order Cancellations

Orders that have not entered processing or shipped may be cancelled and refunded. After shipment, the order must follow this return procedure.

12. Consumer Rights

Nothing in this Policy excludes or limits rights or remedies that cannot legally be excluded under Canadian or British Columbia consumer-protection law.
